You can set the DVR to activate recording on a schedule, upon detecting motion, or via remote control. Best of all however is the ability to combine these settings into a true around the clock security system. You could set the DVR with its wide angle, 104, 2.5mm lens to record non stop at low resolution throughout the workday and then switch over automatically to high resolution motion activation when the work day ends. With the ability to up to use up to a 32GB SD card to store 64 hours of footage in a maximum of 16,384 files instead of having to transmit the footage wirelessly you eliminate the risk of someone stealing the signal, even further reducing the chance of detection. The true power of this particular item however really, lies in its everyday nature.
